SABIC, ein weltweit führendes Unternehmen der Chemieindustrie, hat mit LNP™ ELCRES™ NPCRX9612U das erste Material einer Familie von Polycarbonat -Copolymeren eingeführt, deren Formulierung keine Fluor- bzw. Per- oder Polyfluoralkylstoffe (PFAS) enthält. Neben seiner Zertifizierung nach UL746G, einer Untersuchungsrichtlinie für fluor- und PFAS-freie Materialien, liefert der neue Kunststoff ausgezeichnete Chemikalienbeständigkeit gegen aggressive Desinfektionsmittel in der Medizintechnik und bietet eine UL94 V0-Flammwidrigkeitseinstufung für 1,5 mm dünnwandige Formteile. Das wachsende NP-Kunststoffportfolio, dessen Präfix auf die UL746G-Zertifizierung hinweist, kann Herstellern in vielen Branchen helfen, sich frühzeitig an die zunehmend strengen Regulierungs- und Leistungsanforderungen anzupassen.
