INEOS Styrolution and Sirap agree on joint project aiming at depolymerisation solution for polystyrene

INEOS Styrolution and Sirap agree on joint project aiming at depolymerisation solution for polystyrene.INEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, announces today an agreement with Sirap, an international leader in the production of food packaging (particularly of XPS based food containers), to develop packaging solutions based on chemically recycled polystyrene. Ultimately, the solution aims at achieving circularity for polystyrene reducing post-consumer waste, saving valuable resources with a reduced environmental footprint.

SABIC debuts at Automotive Interiors Expo 2019 paintable LNP LUBRICOMP compounds to reduce buzz, squeak and rattle

SABIC’s two new LNP™ LUBRICOMP™ compounds were developed to help mitigate buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) noises in vehicle cabins.SABIC is introducing here today at Automotive Interiors Expo 2019 (Booth #A118) two new LNP LUBRICOMP compounds, developed to help mitigate buzz, squeak and rattle (BSR) noises in vehicle cabins. These injection moldable compounds, a polycarbonate/acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (PC/ABS) grade and a polycarbonate/acrylonitrile styrene acrylate (PC/ASA) grade, provide a low-gloss finish to meet general preferences for automotive interior decorative parts. Compared to silicone lubricants, which have the potential to leach out and interfere with paint adhesion, and polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) lubricants, which can limit paint choices, the new products feature a proprietary internal lubrication technology and deliver excellent paintability.

TE Connectivity introduces AMPMODU connectors with 2 mm centerlines for board signal transfers

TE Connectivity introduces AMPMODU connectors with 2 mm centerlines for board signal transfers. (Source: TE Connectivity, PR393)TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is expanding its range of AMPMODU interconnection solutions with the introduction of 2 mm centerline board connectors. These new connectors occupy 38 percent less space than traditional 2.54 mm (0.1 inch) centerline products, while reliably and economically meeting the packaging and inter-connection requirements of today's miniature, sophisticated electronics. The products are designed for use across multiple industry segments where space constraints are of particular concern. Target applications include PLC and other I/O devices, servo drives, industrial automation and controls, industrial robotics, instrumentation and test equipment, and building and home automation devices. The new 2 mm offerings will include breakaway headers and board-to-board receptacles, both supporting automated surface-mount, through-hole reflow (pin-in-paste), and traditional through-hole mount processes for ease of manufacturing.
