Clariant doubles capacity of its high-throughput catalyst R&D center in Palo Alto
Clariant Catalysts is picking up speed with the successful expansion of its high-throughput R&D center in Palo Alto, California. Thanks to a significant investment, the upgraded facility is fitted with the latest high-throughput equipment, and will be home to an expanded team of technical experts. By doubling the research and development capacity of its Palo Alto facility, the company greatly strengthens its ability to offer faster and better solutions to its customers, and to support partners with custom catalyst scale-up projects.

INEOS Styrolution reports final results of research project: Post consumer polystyrene waste becomes valuable feedstock
INEOS Styrolution, the global leader in styrenics, reports final results of the research project ResolVe. ResolVe was granted a funding from the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) to explore the recycling of polystyrene. The project proves the feasibility of post-consumer waste becoming a valuable feedstock, thus creating a circular economy for polystyrene. The project also included a commercial and an ecological evaluation of the recycling process.

High-end domestic appliance producer Miele & Cie. KG (Miele) has selected ELIX Polymers’ high-flow ABS grade 118HF for its new battery-powered vacuum cleaner model, the Triflex HX1. ELIX Polymers developed the grade specifically for the application, with improved rheological properties that enable a reduction of wall thickness of the vacuum cleaner housing parts.
