SABIC Innovative Plastics amplía su inversión en el Centro de ingeniería de fluidos para desarrollar materiales de altas prestaciones para sistemas de agua
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 06 de noviembre de 2008 – La creciente preocupación por la peligrosidad y el riesgo para la salud que conlleva el uso de metales en los sistemas de manipulación de fluidos, así como su coste cada vez más elevado, están impulsando el uso de plásticos en conductos, llaves de paso, válvulas, calderas y otros componentes. Los plásticos ofrecen la posibilidad de obtener sistemas de agua más limpios, seguros y rentables, aunque cada material deba someterse a extensas pruebas. Para evaluar estos termoplásticos de ingeniería de la forma más rigurosa y perfecta posible, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha invertido en mejorar su Centro de excelencia en ingeniería de fluidos de Bergen op Zoom (Países Bajos). Desde su apertura en 2005, este centro de investigación ofrece a los clientes de todo el mundo la posibilidad de acceder a una gama más amplia de equipos de pruebas (y por consiguiente, a un mayor número de pruebas y a pruebas a más largo plazo), así como a un completo repertorio de recursos científicos. Todo ello pretende ayudarles a desarrollar soluciones de manipulación de fluidos avanzadas e innovadoras.

SABIC Innovative Plastics anuncia un recorte de la producción
BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 5 de noviembre de 2008 – Como resultado del significativo debilitamiento de la demanda de resinas causado por la desaceleración de la economía mundial, SABIC Innovative Plastics ha anunciado hoy que reducirá la producción de sus termoplásticos de ingeniería en hasta un 20%, con efecto inmediato.

His recent experience includes 11 years in a senior management post with the EWL/Europe West Indies Lines and before that with Hamburg Sud.
