Guaranteeing a reliable power supply over four decades
Since 1971, well over a hundred million of Hirschmann™’s ST-series connectors have been produced. Still retaining practically the same original design, these connectors are used to provide power for electric awnings, blinds and shutters. The maximum rated voltage is AC 400 V/DC 250 V, with a rated current of up to AC 16 A/DC 10 A. Because the connectors are reliable, easy to install and have a long operational life they have become the standard for a wide range of applications including mechanical engineering, lighting technology and the medical sectors. This is why the ST-series remains an important part of the connector program and will continue to be further developed if necessary.

Facilities in Europe seeking a faster, greener and less invasive way to coat their concrete floors have some attractive new solutions available, thanks to DSM’s recent expansion of UVolve® Instant Floor Coatings products for the region. The line includes high gloss and matte finishes as well as clear and pigmented coatings—all of which can be successfully applied under a wider range of application conditions than has been previously possible with most UV curable floor coating products.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, Países Bajos – 23 de agosto de 2011 – La resina Xenoy iQ* de la unidad de negocios estratégica Innovative Plastics de SABIC, elegida por Ford para el sistema de seguridad de los peatones de su vehículo multipropósito (MPV) C-MAX 2011, ha ayudado al fabricante de automóviles a lograr la calificación de cinco estrellas de la organización independiente de seguridad Euro NCAP (Programa Europeo de Evaluación de Automóviles Nuevos). El sistema de seguridad para los peatones del C-MAX incluye un novedoso diseño de bandeja inferior/protector de la parte inferior de las piernas fabricado con la resina de Xenoy iQ de SABIC. Las propiedades físicas inherentes de la resina Xenoy iQ la convierten en un material muy adecuado para el sistema de seguridad de los peatones del Ford C-MAX.
