Belden Offers First Complete Connector Portfolio From its Lumberg Automation Brand for All Ethernet-based Protocols
Schalksmühle, Germany - July 2, 2013 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, is now offering the first complete connector portfolio in its Lumberg Automation product range for all Ethernet-based protocols. This portfolio includes field-attachable M12 and RJ45 connectors and installation variants, as well as single- and double-ended standard molded connector versions. It supports not only PROFINET and Ethernet/IP, but also EtherCat and Sercos.

Maran Gas Takes Delivery of Its First Electrical LNG Carrier Equipped with Electric Power and Propulsion System from GE Power Conversion
PARIS—July 1, 2013—The first electrical LNG carrier to be ordered by Maran Gas incorporating induction-based electric propulsion motor technology from GE’s Power Conversion business (NYSE: GE) is expected to enter commercial service in July. The Woodside Rogers, built by one of the major Korean shipbuilders, Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering (DSME), at its shipyard near Busan, successfully completed sea trials in late April and was handed over to Maran Gas on July 1. It is the first of seven LNG carriers incorporating the innovative GE power and propulsion technology that Maran Gas has ordered from DSME for delivery between now and 2015.

Rob Duchateau gana el premio DPI Invention Award 2013
SITTARD, Países Bajos, 27 de junio de 2013 - El 20 de junio de 2013, Rob Duchateau (47), Director Científico de SABIC y Profesor Asociado a tiempo parcial de la Universidad Técnica de Eindhoven (Países Bajos), recibió el galardón DPI Invention Award 2013. Jacques Joosten, del Instituto Holandés de Polímeros (DPI), le hizo entrega del premio durante la conferencia bianual de la Federación Europea de Polímeros (EPF) celebrada en la ciudad italiana de Pisa del 16 al 21 de junio de 2013.
