Sittard, Geleen, May 20, 2016 - On 19 May 2016 SABIC inaugurated a new research facility at the Brightlands Chemelot Campus in Geleen. The official opening was done by the Governor of the Limburg Province Theo Bovens and Peter Borman, Director Regional Technology Affairs Europe at SABIC. The inspiring state-of-the-art research centre supports an extension of SABIC’s research capabilities in the area of innovative chemistry and materials, supporting the company’s vision to become the world leader in the chemical industry.

Clariant launches MegaGuard™ 700: a powerful iron guard for methanol synthesis catalysts
Shanghai, May 19, 2016 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced the launch of its MegaGuard™ 700 catalyst guard at the Clariant Syngas Conference 2016 in Xi’an, China. MegaGuard 700 is designed to protect methanol synthesis catalysts, such as those of Clariant’s MegaMax® series, from iron poisoning. The new catalyst guard effectively traps and decomposes iron compounds, thus ensuring that the MegaMax series catalyst maintains its exceptional activity and selectivity throughout its long lifetime.

Archroma enters into collaboration with Textile Institute of Pakistan
Reinach, Switzerland - 13 May 2016 - Archroma, a global leader in color and specialty chemicals, today announced the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Textile Institute of Pakistan (TIP).
