FDA Approval for Total Circular Compounds® Containing Recycled HDPE
The US Food and Drug Administration has determined that Total’s secondary recycling process at its Antwerp Belgium site for the production of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Circular Compounds is effective in reducing contaminants from Post-Consumer Recycled HDPE (PCR-HDPE) material to an extent which allows for its use in food packaging.

TE Connectivity celebrates 75 years of PIDG terminals and splices
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is celebrating 75 years of production of its PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) terminals and splices. TE’s predecessor company AMP began making PIDG products in 1943, when company founder, Uncas A. Whitaker, invented a breakthrough insulation support sleeve that offered better terminal performance under high stress. PIDG became the terminal of choice for aerospace manufacturers and quickly spread to other industries. DARMSTADT, Alemania – 12 de abril de 2018 – TE Connectivity (TE), líder mundial en conexión y sensores, ha lanzado un nuevo cable de datos cuádruple de par y de alta velocidad de Categoría 5e (Cat5e) para material rodante e infraestructuras ferroviarias. Gracias a su aislamiento polimérico sin halógenos y retardante de llama, el cable cumple EN45545-2, la nueva norma europea para el comportamiento frente al fuego de los materiales y componentes ferroviarios. Su camisa exterior reticulada ofrece alta resistencia a los agentes químicos, las tensiones mecánicas y las temperaturas extremas. Se puede suministrar suelto o preensamblado ya con conectores, para facilitar y acelerar su instalación.
