Mars, SABIC and Landbell partner in closed loop initiative for KIND® snack bar packaging based on certified circular PP
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry has joined forces with MARS and Landbell in an advanced recycling project designed to close the loop on flexible packaging using certified circular polypropylene (PP) from the company’s TRUCIRCLE™ portfolio. In a joint initiative with major market players, biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) film based on SABIC’s certified circular PP from feedstock recycling of post-consumer, used plastics will be introduced by Mars in the packaging of their KIND® primary healthy snack bar brand.

SABIC, líder mundial del sector químico, presenta en la feria K 2022 una extensa muestra de soluciones tecnológicas y de materiales avanzados con las que responde a los retos de la industria del envasado y que demuestran la viabilidad de combinar una sostenibilidad excepcional con una durabilidad y una estética extraordinarias. En los últimos tres años, la compañía ha colaborado con numerosas empresas líderes del sector en distintas fases de su cadena de valor, centrándose en torno a cinco factores determinantes del mercado: la reducción de residuos, el uso de polímeros circulares certificados, las soluciones de ciclo cerrado y los plásticos que pueden acabar en el mar, el uso de materias primas renovables certificadas y la mejora de la funcionalidad y del atractivo para los consumidores. Los productos y las muestras expuestos en el stand D42 del pabellón 6, durante la feria que tendrá lugar del 19 al 26 de octubre en Messe Düsseldorf (Alemania), están en línea con el programa TRUCIRCLE™ de SABIC y demuestran hasta qué punto las colaboraciones especializadas dentro del sector están acelerando la transición a una circularidad real sin comprometer las prestaciones de los productos.

SABIC, líder mundial del sector químico, mostrará en la feria K 2022, que se celebrará del 19 al 26 de octubre en la ciudad alemana de Düsseldorf, hasta qué punto la química avanzada de polímeros está sentando precedentes en muchas industrias, especialmente a medida que los fabricantes de equipos originales, los propietarios de marcas y los transformadores se esfuerzan por reducir su impacto climático.
