GCR abre un centro de innovación para la «cocreación» en desarrollos de soluciones sostenibles
Con una inversión continuada, GCR Group ha anunciado la reciente apertura de un centro especializado de I+D en La Bisbal del Penedés, Tarragona (España). Este «Centro de innovación» está concebido para aprovechar los 20 años de experiencia en tecnología de materiales y para desarrollar soluciones con polímeros a corto y largo plazo que minimicen el impacto ambiental. Se espera que la inversión general de la empresa alcance los 100 millones de euros en el 2025. Estas inversiones, junto con la nueva planta de reciclaje de 200 000 toneladas de última generación que se abrirá en 2023, reflejan una visión a largo plazo creada cuando la empresa se fundó en 2001; «Innovando nuestro futuro sostenible»’.

SONGWON Industrial Group announces sound Q3 2022 results
SONGWON Industrial Group today published its financial results for the 3rd quarter of 2022. During the quarter, the Group achieved consolidated sales of 350,731 Million KRW and reported a net profit of 41,376 Million KRW. When compared to the sales (Q3/2021: 260,137 Million KRW) and net profit (Q3/2021: 20,972 Million KRW), recorded in previous year, this marked an increase of 34.8% and 97.3% respectively. In Q3/2022, SONGWON reported a slight decline in its gross profit margin of 1.8%-points compared to Q3/2021.

Ascend buys majority stake in recycler Circular Polymers
Ascend Performance Materials has purchased a majority stake in California-based Circular Polymers, a recycler of post-consumer, high-performance polymers including polyamide 6 and 66, polypropylene and polyester (PET). The deal provides Ascend with a consistent supply of high-quality PCR materials for its ReDefyne™ sustainable polyamides, launched at K 2022.
