SABIC debuts first FR PBT nano molding material with good bonding & mechanical performance
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, introduced today the latest addition to its LNP™ THERMOTUF™ family of specialty compounds. New LNP THERMOTUF WF0087N compound is the industry’s first nano molding technology (NMT) material based on polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) that combines excellent flame retardancy (FR) and good mechanical performance. It addresses growing demand across the consumer electronics industry for lightweight and durable metal-plastic hybrid components, such as those used in the middle frame of smartphones. In addition, the material’s FR properties can help customers comply with the fourth edition of the IEC 62368-1 safety standard for consumer electronics devices. LNP THERMOTUF WF0087N compound is a 2025 Edison Award winner.

KRAIBURG TPE pone el acento en el desarrollo de nuevos compuestos para el contacto con alimentos y la protección contra incendios
Poco después de su fundación en 1952, la «K» se estableció como la feria líder mundial para la fabricación y transformación de plásticos y caucho. El amplio ciclo trienal en el que se celebra desde entonces garantiza una enorme densidad de información e innovación en el conjunto de las exposiciones que allí se exhiben. Las expectativas son correspondientemente altas cuando Düsseldorf acoja a unos 180.000 visitantes feriales en la «fiebre K» en la segunda semana de octubre de 2025. KRAIBURG TPE lleva ya varios meses preparándose para ello. 150 metros cuadrados de los aproximadamente 175.000 metros cuadrados de superficie para expositores volverán a estar reservados para el fabricante de TPE de Waldkraiburg en la renombrada «Gummistraße» (con la ubicación del stand «Pabellón 6, stand #C58-03»).
