Malvern Panalytical and Applied Photophysics announce distribution agreement for Protein Stable’s SUPR-DSF
Malvern Panalytical (Malvern, UK) and Applied Photophysics (Leatherhead, UK) have today announced their commercial agreement for Malvern Panalytical to distribute Protein Stable’s microplate-based differential scanning fluorimeter, SUPR-DSF, in the United States of America and Canada.

BENEO réduit sa consommation d’énergie spécifique tout en augmentant sa capacité de production de fibres de chicorée
BENEO, l’un des principaux fabricants d’ingrédients fonctionnels, démontre comment sécurité de l’approvisionnement et développement durable peuvent aller de pair. Alors qu’elle augmente sa capacité de production mondiale de fibres de chicorée prébiotiques de 30% grâce à un investissement de 90 millions d’euros dans son usine de Pemuco au Chili, elle réduit par la même occasion sa consommation d’énergie spécifique de 35%. Cette étape fait partie du programme d'investissement de plusieurs millions de BENEO pour les années à venir afin d'augmenter la capacité de ses sites de production de fibres prébiotiques de racine de chicorée à Oreye, en Belgique, et à Pemuco, au Chili.

GCR: Innover pour un Avenir Durable. Ouverture d'un Centre d'Innovation pour la Co-Création de solutions de développement de bout en bout
Dans le cadre d'un investissement continu, le Groupe GCR a annoncé l'ouverture récente d'un centre de R&D dédié à La Bisbal del Penedés, Tarragone, Espagne. Ce «Centre d'Innovation» est destiné à tirer parti de 20 ans d'expérience dans le domaine de la technologie des matériaux et à développer des solutions à court et long terme à base de polymères qui permettent de minimiser l'impact environnemental. L'investissement global de l'entreprise devrait atteindre 100 millions d'euros d'ici 2025. Associés à la nouvelle usine de recyclage ultramoderne de 200 000 tonnes qui ouvrira ses portes en 2023, ces investissements reflètent une vision à long terme créée lors de la fondation de l'entreprise en 2001; Innover pour un Avenir Durable’.

SONGWON Industrial Group announces sound Q3 2022 results
SONGWON Industrial Group today published its financial results for the 3rd quarter of 2022. During the quarter, the Group achieved consolidated sales of 350,731 Million KRW and reported a net profit of 41,376 Million KRW. When compared to the sales (Q3/2021: 260,137 Million KRW) and net profit (Q3/2021: 20,972 Million KRW), recorded in previous year, this marked an increase of 34.8% and 97.3% respectively. In Q3/2022, SONGWON reported a slight decline in its gross profit margin of 1.8%-points compared to Q3/2021.

Ascend buys majority stake in recycler Circular Polymers
Ascend Performance Materials has purchased a majority stake in California-based Circular Polymers, a recycler of post-consumer, high-performance polymers including polyamide 6 and 66, polypropylene and polyester (PET). The deal provides Ascend with a consistent supply of high-quality PCR materials for its ReDefyne™ sustainable polyamides, launched at K 2022.
