BENEO investit six millions d’euros dans sa capacité de séchage d’amidon
BENEO, un des leaders de la production d’ingrédients fonctionnels pour les industries de l’alimentation humaine, de l’alimentation animale et pharmaceutique, investit six millions d’euros dans l’extension de la capacité de séchage de l’usine de Wijgmaal (Louvain), afin de répondre à la demande croissante d’ingrédients spécialisés à base d’amidon de riz. L’installation d’un nouveau séchoir à tambour dans une toute nouvelle infrastructure de 1000 m2 permettra d’augmenter de 50 % la capacité de production d’amidon de riz précuit « clean label », aux propriétés spéciales/bienfaits supplémentaires. Cet investissement permettra en outre de créer six nouveaux postes à temps plein à l’usine, qui emploie déjà 200 personnes et s’enorgueillit d’une tradition de 160 ans dans la région de Wijgmaal.

Solvay and Zotefoams Sign Long-Term Supply Agreement for Advanced Cellular Material Solutions in Aerospace Based on Solef® PVDF
Solvay, a global market leader in polymer and composite materials, signed a long-term agreement with Zotefoams, the world’s largest manufacturer of lightweight cross-linked polyolefin block foams and a specialist in innovative technical foams, for the supply of Solef® polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF). Solef® will be used to produce Zotefoams’ ZOTEK® F high-performance closed cell crosslinked aerospace foam range. The collaboration will target a wide range of interior applications in aerospace including ducting, carpet underlay, environmental control systems and insulation, where low weight, high flame retardancy and cost-effective processability are paramount.

Jointly developed by Clariant and Casale, the catalyst features exceptional activity, stability, and energy efficiency. These benefits have been confirmed at the ammonia production facilities of Nutrien in Trinidad and Tobago, Mosaic in the USA, and YARA Sluiskil in the Netherlands.
