SABIC’s new PVD-capable ULTEM™ DU762 resin elevates smartphone middle frame performance, appearance and manufacturability
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, today introduced ULTEM™ DU762 resin, a specialty thermoplastic whose design, manufacturing and system cost advantages over metal make it well suited for smartphone middle frame applications. This new, innovative ULTEM resin, compatible with non-conductive physical vapor deposition (PVD) sputtering processes, provides a high-gloss, metallic surface to enhance the appearance of smartphones. This polyetherimide (PEI) material also features excellent chemical resistance for durability, light weight for usability, and a balance of ductility and strength for structural parts.

SONGWON reports strong growth and improved profitability in Q2/2026
SONGWON Industrial Group today released its financial results for the 2nd quarter and first half of 2026. In Q2/2026, consolidated sales rose by 23.8% year on year to 328,509 million KRW, while net profit reached 29,619 million KRW, compared with a net loss in Q2/2025. For H1/2026, revenues increased by 10.5% to 597,713 million KRW, and the gross profit margin improved by 7.6 percentage points to 22.3%. Net profit rose to 47,710 million KRW.

Mondi développe avec Fixit Gruppe un portefeuille de sacs en papier standardisé qui permet d’économiser 135 tonnes d’émissions de gaz à effet de serre par an
Mondi, leader mondial de l’emballage et du papier durables, a collaboré avec Fixit Gruppe pour créer un portefeuille de sacs en papier unifié à l’échelle européenne pour plus de 100 produits de matériaux de construction. Le projet marque une nouvelle étape dans le partenariat de longue date entre les deux entreprises, en soutenant une approche plus harmonisée des emballages en Europe tout en maintenant une qualité d’emballage constante et des performances fiables sur une large gamme de produits. Le portefeuille rationalisé optimise l’utilisation des matériaux, améliore la conception afin de favoriser le recyclage et s’inscrit dans la stratégie de durabilité de Fixit Gruppe en contribuant à réduire les émissions de gaz à effet de serre de 135 tonnes de CO2 par rapport à l’année précédente.
