AVERY DENNISON APPOINTS EUROPEAN TECHNICAL DIRECTOR FOR FASSON ROLL MATERIALS
Leiden, The Netherlands - Avery Dennison has promoted Lisa Hubbard to the post of Technical Director, Roll Materials Europe. In this new role, she leads the European product technology and innovation team, which develops adhesives, release systems, face materials, and top coatings to provide high-performance Fasson-brand product solutions for customers.

UL-APPROVED FASSON OVERLAMINATING FILM FOR DURABLE LABELS
Leiden, The Netherlands - The durability and legibility of a nameplate or rating plate are critical -- but producing them to UL and other standards can be costly. Avery Dennison have developed an innovative alternative to expensive polycarbonate labelstocks: an ultra-thin Fasson polycarbonate overlaminating film that protects the integrity of the nameplate and, it is claimed, can also save costs for durable goods labelling.
Chemtura Corporation (NYSE:CEM) announced a 7-9% increase of European selling prices on all tin stabilizers, a 5% increase on all mixed metals stabilizers and a 5 Eurocent increase on all plasticizers for all package sizes, effective immediately or as contract terms permit. Leiden, The Netherlands - Avery Dennison has developed a new hotmelt adhesive for its self-adhesive labelstocks specifically formulated for cool-temperature air-blown label dispensing, particularly in the food packaging industry. Fasson S2065 combines high tack with strong ultimate adhesion characteristics on a variety of substrates -- including apolar films, sausage casings, stretch PVC and PE and modified atmosphere films -- at temperatures as low as 1-10 deg C.
Leiden, The Netherlands - Fasson MC Perlé -- a special wet-strength pearlescent facestock -- is the latest addition to the Fasson range of self-adhesive materials for wine labelling.
