The 2008 Car of the Year uses polypropylene-based Daplen™ thermoplastic olefins (TPO) from Borealis on its bumpers and dashboard to achieve the superior aesthetics and excellent performance of its parts that give the FIAT 500 the edge in the small car market.

URMOND (NL) – 10 April 2008 – In recent statements to international media the firm Bladerunner has claimed to be selling so-called “bullet-proof” hoodies containing Dyneema®. Contrary to these claims, the material used by Bladerunner is NOT Dyneema®. DSM Dyneema does not support the products distributed by Bladerunner, nor has the company ever given Bladerunner permission to use its brand name. DSM Dyneema’s lawyers have served Bladerunner with a cease and desist letter to stop immediately any further unauthorized and misleading use of its brand name and trademark. Bladerunner currently is not nor will it be in the future a DSM Dyneema licensee.
