Clariant’s EnviCat® Green series catalyst chosen for major green ammonia project in China
Clariant, a sustainability-focused specialty chemical company, today announced that a deoxygenation catalyst from its EnviCat Green series was selected for a major green ammonia project in China. The catalyst will be used to remove trace oxygen from green hydrogen produced at the facility, before conversion into green ammonia. Carbon-free production of ammonia greatly reduces the environmental impact of this valuable base chemical needed for vital applications, such as fertilizer production. Green ammonia is also expected to play a key role in the world’s energy transition, offering versatile applications in transportation, power, and hydrogen supply.

Syensqo and Orbex sign collaboration agreement to develop next-generation space launch systems
Syensqo, a global provider of advanced materials, and Orbex, a leader in private space launch services, signed a strategic collaboration agreement to enhance the development and deployment of next-generation aerospace technologies. Syensqo and Orbex will collaborate on the integration of Syensqo's advanced adhesive, composite and specialty polymer materials into Orbex's launch vehicles to drive advancements in the performance, durability and sustainability of orbital launch systems.

ULTEM resin, a polyetherimide (PEI), is adaptable to a wide range of formats, including foam, sheet, fiber, powder, and composite and honeycomb structures. Due to their versatility and desirable attributes, these resins offer the industry a smooth transition path from traditional thermosets to lighter, more environmentally cautious and more easily processed thermoplastics. Syensqo is launching AeroPaste® 1003, a new grade of its epoxy-based structural paste adhesives which already includes AeroPaste® 1006 and 1100.
