PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) has recently acquired the assets and intellectual property of NanoProducts Corporation, Longmont, Colo., a producer of nanoproduct materials and a developer of nanoproduct technology. Terms were not disclosed.

Shanghai, China, February 18, 2008 –Rohm and Haas Company (NYSE:ROH) announces today that Du Hua is appointed as Rohm and Haas China President, based in the company’s China Research Development Center (CRDC) in Shanghai. Du Hua is also appointed a Vice President of the company and a member of its global Leadership Council. He is transitioning to his new responsibilities immediately.

PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) recently reported record sales for the fourth quarter of $2.9 billion, surpassing the prior year’s fourth quarter results by 15 percent. Fourth quarter net income was $200 million, or $1.21 per share, and was comprised of net income from continuing operations of $193 million, or $1.17 per share, and income from discontinued operations, net of tax, of $7 million, or 4 cents per share. Fourth quarter earnings per share from continuing operations represents a 30-percent increase over the prior year’s quarter.

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 29, 2008 – PPG Industries (NYSE:PPG) and Sinoma Jinjing Fiber Glass Co. Ltd. announced their respective boards of directors have approved the addition of a third furnace at the PPG Sinoma Jinjing Fiber Glass Co. Ltd. joint-venture manufacturing site in Zibo, China. The joint venture is a 50-50 arrangement for manufacturing glass-fiber reinforcement.
