DSM announces Akulon and Novamid polyamide 6 polymer price increases for Europe and the Americas
As a result of increasing raw material prices DSM will increase the price for its Akulon® and Novamid® polyamide 6 polymers. DSM will increase prices by € 120/t in Europe, and by $0.10/lb in North and South America. These increases will take effect for all orders shipped on or after August 1, 2014 where contracts allow.

Clariant completes the sale of its Water Treatment Business to South African AECI
Muttenz, July 1, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, today announced that it has closed the sale of its Water Treatment business in Africa to AECI, domiciled in South Africa, on June 30, 2014. The total value of the divestment amounts to CHF 34 million in cash at closing. The transaction was subject to certain precedent conditions, as well as regulatory approvals.
Muttenz, June 25, 2014 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, is increasing production capacity for its Licocene® Performance Polymers by 50% at its facility on the Frankfurt-Höchst Industrial Park in Germany. The debottlenecking of Clariant's existing production line represents a low double-digit million Swiss Franc investment, with the additional capacity scheduled to come on stream in Q1 2016.
