Songwon enters into a joint venture with Qingdao Long Fortune Chemical & Auxiliary Co., Ltd. (QLF) in China
Ulsan, Korea - May 4, 2015 - Songwon Industrial Group (www.songwon.com) has signed a joint venture (JV) agreement with Qingdao Long Fortune Chemical & Auxiliary Co., Ltd. (QLF) for the production and sale of its One Pack Systems (OPS) and the sale of polymer stabilizers in China, one of the world’s largest and fastest growing polymer markets.
DSM will increase the price for its Akulon® and Novamid® polyamide 6 polymers and compounds in Europe by 150 euro/ton. The price adjustment is a result of increasing raw material prices and will take effect for all orders shipped on or after May 1, 2015 where contracts allow.

Ghent, Belgium - SiVance, LLC, a subsidiary of Milliken & Company, today announced the opening of a new, 11,000 sq.ft. research and development (R&D) laboratory, on the company's R&D and manufacturing campus in Gainesville, Fla., that will enhance its ability to quickly develop and scale new silane and silicone technologies. The new facility is part of a planned series of investments enabling SiVance to better address current and future customer needs in target markets such as electronic semiconductors, contact lenses, coatings and light-emitting diodes (LEDs). The lab will also speed process development for custom manufacturing of speciality silanes, silicones and other chemistries.
