Milliken & Company Announces Intent to Acquire Borchers from The Jordan Company
Milliken & Company (“Milliken”), a global diversified manufacturer with more than a century and a half of materials science expertise, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire Borchers Group Limited (“Borchers”), a global specialty chemicals company known for its innovative high-performance coating additives and specialty catalyst solutions from The Jordan Company, L.P. (“TJC”). The acquisition is expected to close in January 2020, subject to customary closing conditions.

OQ featuring expansive range of resin grades at Plastex
OQ, the new brand regrouping Oman Oil and Orpic Group's nine business units, are debuting this January during Plastex 2020 at Hall 1, B10 in Cairo, Egypt with their expansive range of chemicals and polymer solutions.
Following the announcement in 2018 of the integration of its nine business units, Oman Oil and Orpic Group will introduce its new corporate brand “OQ” to the international arena this January at Plastex 2020 (Hall 1, B10) and Plastivision 2020 (Hall 4, C3-1).
Devan Chemicals, the Belgium-based developer of finishing technologies for textiles, plans to launch two bio-based solutions at the upcoming Heimtextil trade show in Frankfurt, Germany. The company already launched a bio-based flame retardant in May 2019.
As announced at the European Coatings Show (ECS) this year, SONGWON is further developing and expanding its range of bisphenol (BP) monomers and dicyclopentadiene (DCPD) phenol resins. High-purity BP-Z crystalline bisphenol and tetramethyl (modified) bisphenol (TMBP) are now being produced on an industrial scale, while the dicyclopentadiene epoxy resin modifier range ERM-6100, introduced at the ECS, is already well established in the market and being used, for example, in specialty resins in Asia.
