Syensqo launches Rhodoline® HBR specialty additive for early hot block resistance in waterborne architectural paints
Syensqo, formerly part of Solvay Group, has added a brand-new solution to its portfolio of Rhodoline® specialty coating additives. Rhodoline® HBR was developed to enable the phase-out of fluorosurfactants in architectural paint formulations. [1] This innovative new product helps prevent freshly painted surfaces from sticking together, providing early hot block resistance without negatively impacting other performance properties.

Perstorp buys out minority partner at China site
Sustainable solutions provider Perstorp has closed a deal to buy out its minority partner in the joint venture Shandong Perstorp Chemical Co., Ltd. (formerly Shandong Fufeng Perstorp Chemical Co., Ltd.), which has owned and operated Site Zibo in China. Perstorp is now the sole owner of the polyol manufacturing operation, located in Zibo, Shandong province, about 400 km south of Beijing.
Sweden-based specialty chemicals innovator Perstorp has built and commissioned a state-of-the-art, ISCC Plus certified, plant in western India to meet growing market demand for Penta chemicals. Located in Sayakha, Bharuch, in the state of Gujarat, the facility is officially inaugurated on Feb. 20.
Leading specialty chemicals innovator Perstorp has launched Pevalen™ Pro 100, marking a new era in PVC plasticizing technology. The new grade of Pevalen features 100% renewable carbon content based on mass balance, applying chemical and physical traceability. By factoring in the biogenic CO2 uptake from its renewable raw materials, Pevalen Pro 100 offers a product carbon footprint reduction of approximately 80% relative to its fossil-based equivalent from cradle to Perstorp gate.
