DSM DYNEEMA SUCCESSFULLY RESOLVES PATENT INFRINGEMENT DISPUTE WITH BELPROTECT
URMOND (NL), 12 March 2009 - DSM Dyneema, inventor and manufacturer of Dyneema®, the world's strongest fiber™, announced today that it has reached a settlement with Belgian company Belprotect that ends a patent infringement dispute related to patented DSM Dyneema technology.
Abu Dhabi, UAE February 19, 2009: 3B, a leading manufacturer of fibreglass products for the reinforcement of thermoplastics and thermosets, is showcasing its HiPer-tex™ high-performance glass fibre for hard armour ballistic and blast protection applications in Hall 10, Booth A05 at IDEX 2009 held in the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. 
Hyperion Catalysis International, Inc. (Hyperion) has concluded a patent license agreement and a supply agreement with Showa Denko K.K. (SDK) of Japan. In exchange for certain payments, royalties and other consideration, the patent license agreement provides that SDK will be able to sell carbon nanotube-based products for use within a defined field in plastics under Hyperion’s extensive patent portfolio. The supply agreement provides that SDK will purchase Hyperion’s FIBRIL™ carbon nanotube-based products for resale along with its own line of carbon nanotube-based products. These license and supply agreements will help SDK and Hyperion, the world leaders in carbon nanotube commercial production technology and quality design, to continue and grow their leading positions in the production, distribution and marketing of carbon nanotube-based products. The two companies have also identified other areas of mutual interest and have initiated discussions regarding possible joint R&D projects.
