Clariant expands its range of organic pigments and polymer soluble dyes for sustainable and safer solutions in the plastics industry
Muttenz, November 6, 2013 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, helps its customers to fulfill tight requirements in the plastics industry with regards to product safety. Product safety covers various aspects, such as legal requirements - FDA, EU- and Chinese regulations and standards set by the industry. In order to respond to these market needs, Clariant has developed pigments and polymer soluble dyes fulfilling the legal regulations as well as specific industry standards, with a particular focus on the important topics of halogen content and lead chromate content in plastics applications.

DSM partners with Petropol Polimeros to meet growing demand for Akulon polyamide 6 in South America
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences Company, has signed an agreement with Petropol Polimeros, a leading engineering plastics compound producer in South America with more than 20 years' experience in engineering plastics. Under the terms of the agreement, which became effective on Oct 1st 2013, Petropol Polimeros will produce Akulon® polyamide 6 compounds, which DSM will market and sell to its customers throughout South America. Financial details were not released.
