Thanks to the exceptional strength-to-weight ratio provided by Dyneema® High Performance PolyEthylene (HPPE) fiber, the new Capewell pallet and net system is the lightest in the world.

URMOND (NL), May 22, 2008 - The United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas concluded a judgment for patent and trademark infringement and related claims against Armor USA, on April 22, 2008. The judgment relates to DSM’s super strong polyethylene fiber Dyneema®. With this judgment DSM was able to stop Armor USA from selling infringing products comprising polyethylene fiber on the US market Armor USA is a Texas based company with manufacturing operations in China. DSM is a global life sciences and material sciences company with its headquarter based in the Netherlands.

Washington DC, AUSA, 9 October 2007 - DSM Dyneema, maker and inventor of ultra-strong, lightweight Dyneema® polyethylene fiber, has introduced Dyneema® HB51, its newest and strongest UniDirectional (UD) product for the US market for best-in-class inserts used in hard ballistic body armor. This new material, designed for protective backing behind the body armor’s strike face in a hybrid construction, provides an ideal combination of enhanced ballistic performance and lightweight comfort.

URMOND (NL), 9 October 2007 - DSM Dyneema, inventor and maker of ultra-strong, lightweight Dyneema® polyethylene fiber, and TenCate Advanced Armour, manufacturer of insert plates, have combined their expertise to develop best-in-class fiber-only (monolithic) inserts to be used in hard ballistic body armor. These inserts, which feature proprietary technology from TenCate and Dyneema® HB50 UniDirectional (UD) technology from DSM Dyneema, result in the lower weight of the total body armor, which allows the possibility of adding additional protection to other body areas.

Urmond (NL), October 5, 2007 - DSM Dyneema today announced that Composix Co., a leading US manufacturer of vehicle armor, has selected its product Dyneema® HB26 to fulfill an order from a major US Department of Defense contractor for a high-end armor system. Dyneema® HB26 unidirectional (UD) bullet-resistant composite offers a unique combination of light weight for enhanced vehicle mobility, maneuverability, and excellent ballistic performance versus new, and emerging unconventional threats such as IEDs and EFPs. Composix will produce hard ballistic armor panels with Dyneema® for about 1000 vehicles.
