VORWERK GROUP PARTNERS WITH QUADRANT CMS FOR FUNCTIONALLY AESTHETIC VACUUM HOSE MODULE
TIELT, BELGIUM – June, 2007 – True to its vision of delivering a combination of product development, production and assembly from a single source, Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) in Tielt, Belgium, has partnered German vacuum cleaner manufacturer Vorwerk in the design and manufacture of a new polymer-based vacuum hose module. The part, included on Vorwerk’s new “Tiger” vacuum cleaner which was launched globally in early 2007, delivers improvements in terms of functionality, handling and aesthetics.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, THE NETHERLANDS — May 8, 2007 — GE Plastics’ conductive Noryl GTX* resins have officially joined GE’s growing ecomagination* product portfolio. These new, environmentally responsible materials are optimized for powder coating: they contain conductive fillers that eliminate the need to apply an electrostatic primer, which can emit harmful solvents and related compounds into the air. In powder-coating applications, Noryl GTX resins can replace metal substrates, eliminating costly and potentially hazardous chemical pre-treatments and offering increased design freedom. Also, the Noryl resin grades make it possible to powder-coat metal and plastic on the same production line for economies of scale and uniform aesthetics. 
BERGEN OP ZOOM, THE NETHERLANDS — April 24, 2007 — GE Plastics today announced it has expanded its production of LNP* Faradex* compounds, which provide inherent electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding, to the Pacific region. The compounds, including a new environmentally responsible grade that features a non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant, are being manufactured at GE Plastics’ Moka facility in Japan. GE’s LNP Faradex materials will help local and global manufacturers meet electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) regulatory requirements by providing a highly effective EMI shielding solution that can lower part weight and reduce system costs. Additionally, by using a non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant system, LNP Faradex compound can help manufacturers curtail the use of hazardous substances in electronics.

Het Nederlandse technologiebedrijf Waleli, gespecialiseerd in draadloze toepassingen, brengt de ‘GSM-deurbel’ nu internationaal op de markt. Het bedrijf is in gesprek met distributeurs in onder andere Engeland, Frankrijk, Spanje en de Scandinavische landen, om het systeem ook daar actief in de markt zetten. De GSM-deurbel is een Nederlandse uitvinding en hier al enige tijd op de markt.
