TE Connectivity celebrates 75 years of PIDG terminals and splices
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is celebrating 75 years of production of its PIDG (Pre-Insulated Diamond Grip) terminals and splices. TE’s predecessor company AMP began making PIDG products in 1943, when company founder, Uncas A. Whitaker, invented a breakthrough insulation support sleeve that offered better terminal performance under high stress. PIDG became the terminal of choice for aerospace manufacturers and quickly spread to other industries. PIDG can be found in most manufactured products where wires and cables are used including control cabinets, power supplies, transportation equipment and appliances. The many millions of PIDG terminals that are still deployed decades after installation are a testament to the rigorous testing and research that went into their design and manufacturing.

Major European expansion announced by Tritium with opening of international facility in Netherlands
As part of its strategic development plan to take service, support, sales, training and manufacturing of its electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging solutions closer to customers around the world, Australia-based Tritium has announced the official opening of a European Headquarters in Amsterdam, Netherlands (8 March 2018).
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has introduced a development kit for its new LUMAWISE Drive LED Holder Type Z50, enabling luminaire designers to purchase a single unit for desktop testing, product evaluation and luminaire prototyping. Each kit contains an LED holder, a cable assembly and a thermal interface material.
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has launched a new range of M12 rail connectors for field assembly. The M12 X-Code Series connectors enable data transmission rates of up to 10 Gb per second (according to IEC 802.3an Cat 6a), their full-metal shells provide all-round shielding against EMI/RFI interference, and they are sealed against dust and water to IP67 level. Intended applications include data and sensor networks, train door control assemblies and rail vehicle HVAC systems.
