Mondi (re)seals the deal with innovative meat package for Orkla
A leading supplier of branded consumer goods to the grocery, out-of-home, specialized retail, pharmacy and bakery sectors, Orkla already had ruled out using standard reclosable film. As the Vossafår package’s bottom web is flexible, consumers would not easily be able to align the top film with the bottom web for reclosing.

Mondi to showcase BarrierPack Recyclable, and a host of other packaging innovations at FachPack 2018
Mondi, the global packaging and paper group, will highlight BarrierPack Recyclable, its fully recyclable plastic laminate for pre-made pouches and FFS roll stock, along with other innovative products targeting the ice cream, pet food, and food and beverages categories at the upcoming FachPack trade fair in Germany.
Mondi’s award-winning BarrierPack Recyclable laminate is a highly sustainable material with performance properties equivalent to conventional alternatives and fully compatible with existing industrial recycling streams. Now, thanks to a recent innovation, it’s suitable for more applications.
At this spring’s Hispack 2018 trade fair in Spain, Milliken Chemical will be showcasing containers of NX™ UltraClear polypropylene made using its Millad® NX 8000 clarifier, and highlighting why that material is the preferred solution for packaging.
Milliken & Company will feature its extensive portfolio of additive technologies for improving the clarity, performance and processing of polyolefins at NPE 2018 in booth #S26023. The company will also launch two new products: a unique performance modifier for injection-molded polypropylene (PP) impact copolymers (ICPs), and the latest technology in its Hyperform® HPN family of nucleating agents, which is specifically designed to maximize stiffness in PP ICPs. Both of these novel technologies will significantly change the way PP ICPs perform, particularly regarding impact strength, stiffness and melt flow. Further, by improving the physical properties of post-consumer recycled resins, the new performance modifier allows converters to take greater advantage of their cost and sustainability benefits.
Omron will be at the CFIA event in Rennes, from 13-15 March, demonstrating how it can create smart production facilities that help solve the challenges faced by today’s food and beverage industry.
