August 2016 Würdenträger aus der Region und dem Bundesland Sachsen-Anhalt auf Mitglieder des Leadership Teams von Guardian Glass in Europa, um eine Tour durch das Floatglaswerk von Guardian in Thalheim, Deutschland, vorzunehmen. Unter den Teilnehmern waren unter anderem Petra Wust, Oberbürgermeisterin von Bitterfeld-Wolfen; Manfred Kressin, Bürgermeister der Gemeinde Thalheim; Uwe Schulze, Landrat des Landkreises Anhalt-Bitterfeld; Peter Kuras, Oberbürgermeister von Dessau und Dr. Carlhans Uhle, Geschäftsführer der Investitions- und Marketinggesellschaft von Sachsen-Anhalt. Diese wurden von Mario Walke, Geschäftsführer von Guardian Flachglas in Thalheim, Jean Ries, Leitender Berater Guardian Europe und Lajos Sapi, früherer Vize-Präsident Guardian Europe S.à.r.l., begleitet.
