New business opportunities for Distrupol after successful Medtec UK 2008
The Medtec UK 2008 (13-14 February in Birmingham) has been a major success for polymer distributor and service provider Distrupol. This was Distrupol’s first time exhibiting at the event where it generated over 60 new sales leads, three of which have already resulted in tool trials of polymers supplied by the company. Distrupol believes the excellent response at the show was largely down to the availability of its own Development Engineers, and those of its material suppliers, to discuss product development opportunities and polymer solutions at the stand.

DSM Biomedical today announced the start of a development program of polyester based Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPE) for use in medical devices. In the coming years DSM Biomedical will work together with medical device companies to develop tailored TPE material grades.
