Univar becomes distributor of Dankalk’s lime, chalk, and calcium carbonate products for Nordic regions
Dankalk (Løgtør, Denmark) has appointed Univar as a distributor of its range of lime, chalk, and calcium carbonate products in the Nordic region. Under the agreement, Univar will distribute Dankalk’s Alpine Fin, Asfaltfiller, Crumbles, Danchalk®, mineral lime and Gardenchalk brands and product lines in Norway, Finland, Iceland, and the Baltic countries, in addition to parts of Sweden and Denmark. Univar is one of the world’s leading independent suppliers of industrial chemicals and related specialty services and serves all branches of Nordic trade and industry.

Hartsville, S.C. - Sonoco (NYSE: SON), the global packaging company, Hartsville, S.C., and Ahlstrom Corporation, Helsinki, Finland, have signed a definitive agreement to combine their respective European paper-based tube/core and coreboard operations into a joint venture that will operate under the name Sonoco-Alcore S.a.r.l.
