Terneuzen/Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 21 October 2009 – ABN AMRO Bank and WarmCO2, a joint initiative of port authority Zeeland Seaports, fertilizer producer Yara and infrastructure supplier Visser & Smit Hanab, have signed a ‘green’ financing agreement of € 25 million, as part of an overall financial investment of € 80 million. WarmCO2 is the first large scale sustainable energy project in the Netherlands to receive this ‘green’ financing.

DSM Engineering Plastics has been recognized as a leading solutions provider that supports and enables the electronics industry to move away from chemicals that can lead to health and environmental problems. In a new precedent setting research report “Greening Consumer Electronics: Moving Away from Bromine and Chlorine”, the International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) and US based environmental organization Clean Production Action (CPA) identified seven companies who have engineered environmental solutions that negate the need for most - or in some cases all - uses of brominated and chlorinated chemicals. The seven companies include, amongst others, Apple, Sony Ericsson and DSM Engineering Plastics.

Zhong Fang), a Chinese manufacturer of HMPE (high-modulus polyethylene) fiber and EOS 3 S.r.l., an Italian based distributor.
