MOOG HYDRAULIC SIMULATION TABLE ALLOWS EXOVA TO ACHIEVE MORE REALISTIC AUTOMOTIVE TESTING
East Aurora, NY, USA, 31 January 2012 – Moog, a leader in high performance systems and products for automotive and aerospace testing, has designed and manufactured a Hydraulic Simulation Table based on the company’s latest line of Hydraulic Test Actuators. This offers more capability than a conventional orthogonal system, which is a table moved by actuators mounted on its base and sides. The Moog Hydraulic Simulation Table is a six-legged hexapod with two equilateral triangular frames set one above the other, offset at 30 degrees. Each apex of the top triangle is connected to the two apexes below it via Moog Hydraulic Test Actuators with Hydrostatic Bearings.

DSM Engineering Plastics signs distribution agreement with Resinet to strengthen its presence in Brazil
DSM Engineering Plastics and Resinet have entered into a distribution agreement, to join forces in the market development and sales of DSM Engineering Plastics resins in Brazil.
BERGEN OP ZOOM, The Netherlands – December 15, 2011 – Because protective gear is only effective when workers use it, 3M™ has designed a new exceptionally comfortable, ergonomic line of hardhats and helmets made with SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business’ lightweight Xenoy* and Lexan* OQ optical quality resins. The new 3M Versaflo™ M-series respiratory headgear product line uses custom-colored Xenoy polycarbonate/polybutylene terephthalate (PC/PBT) resin for headgear shells and visor frames, enabling thin-wall designs which helps reduce the headgear weight by approximately 15-20 percent compared to the company’s previous L-series products. Water-clear Lexan OQ PC resin, used for the visors, provides excellent optical qualities and high impact resistance. SABIC’s longstanding relationship with 3M demonstrates the company’s focus on working side-by-side with customers to help them achieve competitive differentiation and business success.
Belden has added three new unmanaged low-cost switches from the SPIDER series to its Hirschmann™ product range. These switches support Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) and have either five twisted-pair ports (SPIDER 5TX PD EEC) or one twisted-pair port and one fiberoptic port for multimode (SPIDER 1TX/1FX-MM PD EEC) or singlemode optical fiber (SPIDER 1TX/1FX-SM PD EEC). Other features include industrial protection class IP30, a strong metal housing and an extended temperature range from -40° to +70°C. Since all versions are powered via PoE there is no need for a separate power supply or even a socket. These switches can therefore be used wherever a PoE port is available, thus allowing flexible network expansion, with additional ports for data transmission via copper cable or – for large distances or where there are strong electromagnetic fields – fiberoptic uplinks.
