The Netherlands, 12 May 2015 - In collaboration with DSM Dyneema, Norway-based Load Solutions AS, a global provider of lashing and loading systems for the transport industry, will officially launch their innovative lightweight synthetic TYCAN® chain at the upcoming international trade show BreakBulk Europe 2015, May 18-21 in Antwerp, Belgium. Available on the market since January of this year, the new chain has been hailed for its outstanding performance by users across a wide range of industries, from shipping, mining and oil and gas to commercial fishing. Already, Load Solutions is seeing very sizable new orders and reorders from initial customers. Commercial field trials are ongoing globally in various industrial branches to further expand the commercial market opportunities for TYCAN®.

Effective from April 2015, prices will increase by 7-10% depending on the specific country. The price increase will apply to the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East & Africa) and all other markets outside of US dollar denominated markets.

The Netherlands, 6 January 2015 - Industrial chains for handling heavy loads are being produced for the first time from DSM's ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMwPE) fiber, branded as Dyneema®. DSM Dyneema has formed a strategic partnership with Load Solutions AS in Bergen, Norway, for development, manufacturing, sales and marketing of link chains made with Dyneema® fiber. The chains, branded as TYCAN®, are fabricated from webbings and have numerous economic, environmental and safety advantages over traditional chains that for centuries have been made in iron and steel.

Ghent, Belgium – Milliken & Company unveiled today, at Pack Expo International (booth #10513), Hyperform® HPN 210 M, a new, game-changing nucleating agent for injection molded high-density polyethylene (HDPE) applications. This new breakthrough technology features a unique crystalline orientation that improves the mechanical performance of HDPE to levels approaching those of polypropylene (PP) impact copolymers. The Hyperform HPN 210 M nucleator gives molders attractive new processing options for packaging and material handling applications and underscores Milliken’s investment in ongoing research to benefit customers worldwide. The new additive – which specifically targets material handling applications such as waste containers, totes, crates and pallets – is the first in a family of next-generation nucleators that Milliken is developing.
