Clariant’s commitment to innovation and sustainability recognized with Henkel and ICIS awards
Clariant, a focused, sustainable and innovative specialty chemical company, today announced that the company was recently honoured with various high-level awards in the area of sustainability and innovation. Henkel Adhesive Technologies presented Clariant its Sustainability Award 2020. In addition, Clariant won in two categories of this year’s ICIS Innovation Awards: Clariant’s multi-purpose additive Licocare® RBW Vita, derived from crude rice bran wax, won ‘Best Product’, and the ammonia synthesis catalyst AmoMax™-Casale, jointly developed with Casale SA, won ‘Best Sustainable Process’.

Perstorp converts production to solve Swedish national disinfection crisis
Perstorp, a global leader in the specialty chemicals market, has started the large-scale production of hand sanitizer and surface disinfectant for the Swedish healthcare sector – at cost price. With a capacity of over 2 million liters a month, the aim is to solve the current lack of disinfectants at a national level.
SONGWON Industrial Group has signed an exclusive agreement with Bodo Möller Chemie Russia LLC for the distribution of SONGNOX® fuel & lubricant antioxidant additives in Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
Perstorp, a global leader in the specialty chemicals market, has unveiled plans to invest in the construction of a new Pentaerythritol (Penta) production facility in Gujarat, India. Representatives from the Perstorp Executive Leadership Team, were joined by government officials, employees and selected guests at a groundbreaking ceremony for the new plant held on November 6. The world scale, green-field Gujarat plant will produce Penta, including the renewable grades of Voxtar™, providing up to a 60% reduced carbon footprint.
