DSM makes breakthrough in polyamide blown film processing with Akulon XS
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, says the potential for polyamide 6 in blown film for flexible food packaging is further enhanced with the introduction of Akulon® XS. Thanks to its improved crystallisation properties, Akulon XS has an extended processing window, providing new opportunities in designing co-extruded multi-layer as well as monolayer film structures. Processors notice significant improvements in production when using the new Akulon XS.

LEIDEN, the Netherlands - September 30, 2013 - Avery Dennison was named the winner of the Sustainability Award at the Label Industry Global Awards Tuesday, September 24 for its CleanFlake™ Film Portfolio - which features a switchable adhesive that debonds at the recycling center to make PET recycling more effective.

Label converters using film materials with ClearCut™ adhesives can now simultaneously improve sustainability and productivity while retaining all-important shelf appeal.

LEIDEN, the Netherlands - September 19, 2013 - Avery Dennison has expanded its PET recycling program with the addition of two new collection facilities in Europe. Waste PET liners can now be sold directly to Avery Dennison's recycling partner Morssinkhof Rymoplast, either at its main plant in Zeewolde (the Netherlands) or at collection facilities in Lichtenvoorde (the Netherlands) and Przeczno (Poland).
