KRAIBURG TPE responds to the issue of bio-based materials by supplying bio-based TPEs with a variable proportion of sustainable raw materials
KRAIBURG TPE is presenting thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs) that have a variable proportion of renewable raw materials. By introducing these new compounds, the global TPE manufacturer is expanding its THERMOLAST® R range of more sustainable solutions by adding a line of products from renewable raw material sources. Bio-based TPEs also have a lower product carbon footprint than established alternatives that are not based on renewable raw materials.

Solvay, a global market leader in specialty materials, has introduced Diofan® Ultra736, a new polyvinylidene chloride (PVDC) coating solution with ultra-high water vapor barrier that allows carbon footprint reduction for pharmaceutical blister films. As an aqueous dispersion, Diofan® Ultra736 is fluorine-free, meets regulatory requirements for direct pharmaceutical contact and supports the design of sustainable films with thinner coating designs.

At Fakuma 2023 held from October 17 to 21 at Friedrichshafen Exhibition Center, KRAIBURG TPE will put the spot on its leading competence in the field of thermoplastic elastomers (TPEs). The product innovations presented at booth 5303 in hall B5 will focus on a series of new TPE compounds for sophisticated drinking water and hot water applications. As part of its expanded line of circular products, the manufacturer will also be showcasing several materials that contain high proportions of bio-based and recycled raw materials of up to 80%.
