DSM ELASTOMERS’ NEW REACTIVE EXTRUDER HAS STARTED COMMERCIAL PRODUCTION FOR MOTOR OIL ADDITIVES
Heerlen, 09 October 2008 - Following several months of successful tests, commercial production of new high performance EP(D)M grades is now fully operational DSM Elastomers’ new reactive extruder (REX) line and product is now available for shipment to customers. The new REX line is fully integrated in the DSM Elastomers production site in Triunfo, Brazil. The plant uses state of the art technologies for reactive extrusion.

The aim of the plan is to help these businesses adapt to changes in the polyamide market, which is expanding rapidly in Eastern Europe, Latin America and Asia but is experiencing slower growth in Western Europe.
