DSM ENGINEERING PLASTICS TO SELL YPAREX® BUSINESS TO RESIN
DSM Engineering Plastics announces it has reached an agreement for the sale of its Yparex® adhesives business to RESIN (Products & Technology) B.V., a Netherlands-based compounding company. The sale is expected to close in Q1 2011, subject to regulatory and other customary approvals and notifications.

DSM Engineerging Plastics Europe has announced it will increase prices for its Akulon and Novamid PA6 and PA66 portfolios, due to unprecedented and continued escalations in key raw materials costs (such as benzene, caprolactam, glass fiber, flame retardants and others). Since the beginning of 2011, we have seen a number of significant raw material cost increases.
