Milliken & Company’s board of directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Halsey M. Cook Jr. as president and CEO effective September 1, 2018. J. Harold Chandler will return to his role as chair of the board of directors.
Perstorp recently reported that they have made significant progress in ‘future-proofing’ its Capa™ caprolactone monomer plant in Warrington, United Kingdom. The monomer plant will be made more robust to ensure an even more reliable supply for customers around the world.
SABIC and AECTRA Plastiques SAS announced their arrangement concerning the distribution of the whole SABIC® polyolefins portfolio in France during the occasion of the official opening of the AECTRA Plastiques’ office in Lyon. With immediate effect, AECTRA Plastiques will market, sell and distribute SABIC® polyethylene and polypropylene products in all industries, including automotive and pharmaceutical.

As part of the voluntary commitments for the French government’s Circular Economy Roadmap and in line with French and European Union objectives in the area of plastic recycling, Citeo, Total, Saint-Gobain and the French Union of Fresh Dairy Product Manufacturers (Syndifrais) are joining forces to help lay the groundwork for an industrial-scale polystyrene recycling channel in France and to validate its technical and cost feasibility within 18 months. The announcement was made at the World Materials Forum, which is being held in Nancy, France from June 27 to 29.
