Since the introduction of LNP™ ELCRIN™ iQ materials in late 2019, SABIC has helped divert more than 100 million single-use 16.9 oz. (50 cl) PET water bottles from landfills and incinerators. This portfolio of globally available polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) materials is produced from post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) water bottles through a unique chemical upcycling process.

DOMO and the Italian company, STS Tecnopolimeri, specialized in the production of thermoplastics applications, have partnered to develop a leading range of household and electronic parts. The material selected for moulding these applications is DOMO’s recently approved DOMAMID® FR 6G30V0E BK, a flame retardant halogen-free polyamide 6 product with outstanding mechanical and electrical properties.

With more brands and governments globally setting goals to increase their use of recycled materials, plastics manufacturers are faced with the challenges of using recycled plastics effectively. Peroxide masterbatches, like those from Zebra-chem and Milliken, make it possible to incorporate up to 100% recycled content into these new plastics.
