Perstorp buys out minority partner at China site
Sustainable solutions provider Perstorp has closed a deal to buy out its minority partner in the joint venture Shandong Perstorp Chemical Co., Ltd. (formerly Shandong Fufeng Perstorp Chemical Co., Ltd.), which has owned and operated Site Zibo in China. Perstorp is now the sole owner of the polyol manufacturing operation, located in Zibo, Shandong province, about 400 km south of Beijing.

Worldwide climate protection targets based on recognized SBTi standards have been published
The validation of KRAIBURG TPE’s climate protection targets in March 2024 marks another milestone for the issues of sustainability and climate protection in the company. The announced targets have been validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and are therefore subject to globally valid, scientifically based, measurable and verifiable standards.
Syensqo, previously part of Solvay Group, has developed a new version of its flagship MTM® 49-3 resin that contains 30% bio-sourced monomers. The new product variant complements the portfolio of the company’s MTM® advanced prepregs and targets structural automotive applications, including body panels, chassis components and spoilers.
KRAIBURG TPE has released a new range of thermoplastic elastomer (TPE) products that contain at least 73% recycled content. The new Recycling Content TPE for Automotive series has been designed to fulfil a variety of technical applications. Here, KRAIBURG TPE is also pleased to announce an agreement with Tessi Supply, which will use the grades to produce inlay cases and floor mats.

Sweden-based specialty chemicals innovator Perstorp has built and commissioned a state-of-the-art, ISCC Plus certified, plant in western India to meet growing market demand for Penta chemicals. Located in Sayakha, Bharuch, in the state of Gujarat, the facility is officially inaugurated on Feb. 20.
