Belden Presents New Lumberg Automation Wash-down Connectors
Schalksmühle, Germany - December 13, 2012 - Belden Inc., a global leader in signal transmission solutions for mission-critical applications, has added new Wash-down connectors to its Lumberg Automation product program in the EMEA region. Optionally available as single-ended or double-ended actuator/sensor cordsets, these connectors come with an M8 or M12 thread and a hexagonal stainless steel coupling nut.

BERGEN OP ZOOM, The Netherlands, December 12, 2012 - Rescue and HAZMAT workers, fire-fighters and miners depend upon self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) when working in extremely hazardous environments. So when Biomarine, an SCBA manufacturer based in Exton, Pa., needed to improve the impact strength and ability to dissipate static electricity for the external housing of its BioPak 240R Revolution rebreather, it turned to SABIC’s Innovative Plastics business. SABIC recommended replacing the existing polycarbonate (PC)-based compound with LNP™ FARADEX™ compound – which leverages proprietary LEXAN™ EXL copolymer technology and features electrically conductive stainless steel fibers – and provided world-class design and molding expertise. The result is a tougher apparatus housing with excellent electrostatic dissipation (ESD) and greatly enhanced aesthetics. Belden Unveils HiOS - A New Operating System Generation for its Hirschmann Brand of Switches

Specially developed to meet requirements in the automation sector, this operating system will be initially available in two Layer 2 versions, with a Layer 3 version due to be launched in the course of 2013.
