LEIDEN, the Netherlands - October 9, 2013 - S8092 - a new adhesive from Avery Dennison - is giving automotive and other manufacturers dramatically improved performance when labelling silicone-coated materials or materials with contaminated surfaces. Clariant brings new Houdry® dehydrogenation catalyst capacity on-stream
Muttenz, October 9, 2013 - Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has successfully expanded production capacity for Houdry® dehydrogenation catalysts at its Louisville/Kentucky, USA plant. The double-digit million Swiss francs debottlenecking investment will support increasing demand for Houdry catalysts driven mainly by shale gas development. The facility will come on-stream in mid-October 2013 as planned.

Innovia Films, a leading global manufacturer of Biofilms, and Corbion Purac, a global leader in lactic acid and lactides, are joining forces to develop PLA (Poly Lactic Acid) film that is both transparent and resistant to higher temperatures. High heat PLA was brought to market following dedicated research efforts by Corbion Purac. As a result, Innovia recognized an opportunity to work together to further develop a transparent, heat resistant PLA film.
