Clariant supports molder of electronics gear with tough static-resistant nylon
Charlotte, July 8, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in specialty chemicals, has announced successful development of a glass-reinforced polyamide (nylon) with anti-static properties, low-temperature impact strength, dimensional stability and excellent surface-finish. The material was custom compounded by the Clariant Corporation BU Masterbatches Specialty Compounding business in Albion, Mich. It was created to help Advanced Design Concepts, Inc., (ADC), a custom molder in Pewaukee, Wis., to meet a customer’s need for a housing for electronic equipment that must operate safely in potentially explosive environments.

Re-using PVC left-overs the smart way
Zweibrücken, Germany (8 July 2015) – A €1.2 million investment in an upgraded recycling facility to handle PVC production left-overs paid for itself in 18 months at Protan Group, the Norway-based manufacturer of roofing foils and ventilation tubes for tunnels and mines. The investment, in equipment from German size-reduction technology specialist Pallmann, came through cost savings and increased capacity.

Clariant Oil Services receives supply contract for the Johan Sverdrup field
Houston, TX, July 7, 2015 – Clariant, a world leader in Specialty Chemicals, signed a framework contract with Statoil, representing the Johan Sverdrup partnership, on June 3, 2015 to supply production chemicals and services for the Johan Sverdrup oil field. The contract has a length of eight years with a four-year option, totaling 12 years. The contract’s start-date is July 1, 2015 and has a significant value, including the option period.

Neckartenzlingen - 2. Juli 2015 - Belden Inc., ein weltweit führender Anbieter von Signalübertragungslösungen für unternehmenskritische Anwendungen, hat in diesem Jahr erneut die Verleihung des Richard-Hirschmann-Preises ausgerichtet. Auf der Veranstaltung, die am 1. Wuxi XinDeBao Selects Moog’s Test Solution for Automobile Component Testing
East Aurora, NY, USA, July 2, 2015 - Wuxi XinDeBao has recently completed a successful flex coupling durability test program with a new simulation table specifically designed by Moog to handle smaller payloads of up to 100 kg. The Hydraulic Simulation Table 100 kg, (H-ST-100), is a new addition to Moog Simulation Table solutions, designed to meet XinDeBao’s specifications for the testing of automobile exhaust pipes. It is also capable of performing durability evaluations of other small vehicle components. The Moog Simulation Table is available in electric or hydraulic versions depending on the performance required.
