SABIC firma un memorandum d’intesa con PLASTIC ENERGY per fornire materie prime riciclate.SITTARD, PAESI BASSI, 4 dicembre 2018 - SABIC, un leader globale del settore chimico, ha annunciato oggi la firma di un memorandum d’intesa (MoU) con la compagnia inglese PLASTIC ENERGY Ltd., pioniera nel riciclaggio chimico delle materie plastiche, per fornire materie prime alle attività petrolchimiche europee di SABIC. SABIC e PLASTIC ENERGY intendono costruire il primo impianto commerciale nei Paesi Bassi per la raffinazione e valorizzazione di una materia prima pregiata, conosciuta come TACOIL, un prodotto brevettato di PLASTIC ENERGY, che sarà fabbricato partendo dal riciclaggio di scarti plastici eterogenei di bassa qualità, destinati normalmente all’incenerimento o alla discarica. L’impianto, che si prevede avvierà una produzione commerciale nel 2021, è una importante pietra miliare per SABIC nell’impegno alla creazione di una economia circolare e, in senso più ampio, verso i suoi obiettivi di sostenibilità.
