Green Sports Alliance Summit includes the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership
The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading authority in sustainable printing certification for print manufacturers, announced today that Gary Jones, Specialty Graphics Imaging Association's (SGIA) Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety Affairs, will be a panelist at the 2019 Green Sports Alliance (GSA) Summit discussing green purchasing and how SGP can play an important role in sports facilities' purchasing decisions.

ELIX ABS-3D materials added to Ultimaker Marketplace
ELIX Polymers, a leading specialist in high-performance ABS materials, has added two new grades to the Ultimaker Marketplace for 3D printing equipment FDM applications. The move was made together with three partner companies producing filament from ELIX ABS: 3R3D, based in Spain; Filoalfa brand owner Ciceri de Mondel (Italy); and Print-me (Poland). The companies in the partnership cooperated within the Ultimaker Material Alliance Program.

SABIC continues global LNP anniversary technical summit series in Singapore
SABIC is continuing to hold a series of technical summits in Asia to mark 70 years of its LNP™ product line of engineering thermoplastic compounds and copolymers. After a series of events organized globally over the past few months, including across China and Malaysia, the next summit takes place in Singapore on June 18 and 19. Around 250 delegates, including engineers and designers at ODMs and OEMs, molders and toolmakers from across Southeast Asia, India and Japan, converged on the Park Royal Hotel for a series of presentations, displays, and one-on-one meetings with SABIC experts .

Safran, Oerlikon, CNRS and the University of Limoges create a joint research lab and technology platform for surface treatment in southwest France
Stéphane Cueille, Safran Senior Executive Vice President, R&T and Innovation, Dr. Roland Fischer, CEO of Oerlikon, Jean-Luc Moullet, Chief Technology Transfer Officer at the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and Alain Celerier, President of the University of Limoges, have signed a Letter of Intent announcing the creation in Limoges of a joint research laboratory, PROTHEIS, and a technology platform, SAFIR, two complementary organizations specialized in surface treatments for aerospace applications. The signing ceremony was attended by Agnès Pannier-Runacher, Secretary of State reporting to the French Minister of the Economy and Finance, in charge of innovation, and Alain Rousset, President of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region in southwest France.

Henkel and RLE International demonstrate the lightweighting potential in hybrid automotive body parts
In a comprehensive joint study, Henkel and RLE International have examined and validated the potential of high-performance structural foam for lightweighting in automotive body and closure parts. The study has revealed that fiber reinforced polymer components with structural foam ribbing and reinforcements can save more than 40 kg of weight per car vs. conventional all-metal designs.
