Clariant making its Additives fit for reuse, halogen-free flame retardant allowing re- and up-cycling of PA6 & PA66
As announced end June, Clariant is taking action to tackle the challenge of plastic pollution with new solutions and proactive steps to create a more sustainable plastics industry through a “Symphony of Collaboration”. Clariant is supporting the industry with environmentally-compatible solutions and in designing materials and products which are easier to separate, recover, and reuse. One way to approach this challenge is to improve our additives, making them fit for re-use while avoiding material performance degradation.

Successful startup of world’s largest dehydrogenation plant using Clariant’s CATOFIN® catalyst technology
Clariant announced the successful startup of its CATOFIN catalyst at Hengli Group’s new mixed-feed dehydrogenation plant in Dalian, China. The new unit combines propane dehydrogenation (PDH) with iso-butane dehydrogenation (BDH) process technologies, and it will produce over 1 million tons of olefins per year -- becoming the world’s largest plant using CATOFIN catalyst technology.

Clariant to feature water-based and synthetic industrial lubricant applications at Inter Lubric China 2019
Clariant, a focused and innovative specialty chemical company, today announced will participate in the Inter Lubric China exhibition this year by highlighting Emulsogen C, Emulsogen MTP and Genapol EP, from the specialty chemical company’s new range of emulsifiers that offer outstanding formulation advantages with minimal human and environmental impact. In addition, its Polyglykol synthetic base fluids will also be featured at the show, which will be held on August 21-23 at the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou, China.

DOMO Chemicals firma un accordo per acquisire le attività nelle poliammidi di Solvay in Europa
DOMO Chemicals e Solvay hanno firmato oggi un accordo per l'acquisizione da parte di DOMO delle attività nelle poliammidi di Solvay in Europa. Questo accordo include le attività relative ai tecnopolimeri in Francia e Polonia, alle fibre in Francia ed ai polimeri ed intermedi in Francia, Spagna e Polonia. L'accordo comprende anche una joint venture tra BASF e DOMO in Francia per la produzione di acido adipico. L'attività include i servizi di produzione, vendita, supporto tecnico, R&S e di innovazione che attualmente contano un organico totale di circa 1.100 persone. L'acquisizione, che è soggetta all'approvazione da parte delle autorità competenti, dovrebbe avvenire entro la fine del quarto trimestre 2019. Il prezzo di acquisto, che DOMO corrisponderà su base “cash and debt free”, ammonterà a €300 milioni.

TE Connectivity introduces new PR115 silver and white thermally printable 50-micron polyester rating label
TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, has introduced new self-adhesive polyester rating labels, PR115. These custom-designed labels have UL969 category PGJI2 file MH29684 approval, which means that they can be printed by end-use product manufacturers using thermal transfer equipment.
