Avery Dennison partners with Tosca to save up to 800 tons of CO2 emissions from its European supply chain annually
Avery Dennison Labels and Packaging Materials (LPM) is pleased to announce its partnership with Tosca, a global leader in reusable plastic packaging and pooling solutions for the supply chain. The partnership means Avery Dennison LPM is aiming to switch a substantial portion of its product distribution across the continent to plastic pallets with a goal to save over 800 tons of CO2 emissions from its European supply chain annually.

SABIC debuts new copolymer resin for PV connectors, delivering highest CTI level to support emerging 1.5Kv systems
SABIC, a global leader in the chemical industry, launched today a breakthrough polycarbonate (PC)-based copolymer resin, well-suited for photovoltaic (PV) connector bodies, that meets stricter performance and regulatory requirements for emerging 1.5Kv solar systems. The new LNP™ EXL9334P copolymer resin achieves the highest comparative tracking index (CTI) level (UL PLC0) and IEC as Material Group 1 (IEC MG 1). It also delivers low-temperature ductility, good dimension stability, excellent heat resistance, good durability and weather resistance and flame retardance. With high performance across all key properties, this specialty resin surpasses competitive materials such as glass-reinforced nylon, polyphenylene ether (PPE) and standard PC. Customers could also benefit from the cost-effective design flexibility and processing efficiency of this injection-molding thermoplastic.

BENEO verlaagt specifiek energieverbruik en verhoogt tegelijkertijd de productiecapaciteit voor cichoreiwortelvezels
BENEO, een van de grootste producenten van functionele ingrediënten, bewijst dat bevoorradingszekerheid en duurzaamheid perfect kunnen samengaan. Terwijl de wereldwijde capaciteit voor zijn prebiotische cichoreiwortelvezels met 30% wordt verhoogd dankzij een investering van 90 miljoen euro in zijn productievestiging in het Chileense Pemuco, wordt tegelijkertijd het specifieke energieverbruik met 35% verlaagd. Deze mijlpaal maakt deel uit van BENEO's investeringsprogramma van meerdere miljoenen voor de komende jaren om de capaciteit van zijn productievestigingen voor prebiotische cichoreiwortelvezels in Oreye (België) en Pemuco (Chili) uit te breiden.
