BENEO investeert zes miljoen euro in droogwals voor zetmeel
BENEO, een toonaangevende fabrikant van functionele ingrediënten voor voeding, diervoeder en de farmaceutische industrie, investeert zes miljoen euro om de droogwals capaciteit van de fabriek in Wijgmaal (Leuven) uit te breiden en zo de toenemende vraag naar gespecialiseerde rijstzetmeelingrediënten bij te houden. In een nieuwe ruimte van 1000 m2 wordt een gloednieuwe droogwals geïnstalleerd om de capaciteit voor de productie van clean label voorgekookt (of koudwater-oplosbaar) rijstzetmeel met gespecialiseerde eigenschappen/extra voordelen met 50% te vergroten. De investering creëert ook zes nieuwe voltijdse banen in de fabriek, die nu al 200 mensen tewerkstelt en fier is op haar 160-jarige traditie in Wijgmaal.
